After reading the books, and seeing the first movie, I deffinitly like the books more. But I haven't yet seen the second movie, so I'm uncertain about whether or not I like that more then the book. Probably not. =]

  1. I loved the books soo much! The first movie was ok but it changed the story so much. But, the second movie(New Moon) stuck to the story more and was way better!

  3. I am in love with the Twilight Saga. I read the books a while ago, like before everyone started getting crazy about it. I thought the book was much better for the first movie. The second movie was much better and atually folowed the book most of the time. I think it's because of the new director. The movie was amazing, and the scene when Taylor was in the rain. omg! ahaha. i hope you enjoy the movie as much as i did. I do enjoy the books more though, i read them each five times..haha.

  6. I've read the books and I don't see why people are so crazy about it. Yes, the books were well written. (for young adult novels) But compared to other pieces of literature the Twilight series is mediocre. I don't want to put down the author because she wrote this series well. But I think readers who are obsessed with it are just caught up in a fad. The first movie was awful compared to the book, and the thing that makes me mad in the second are the werewolves. Stephanie Meyer put a great description of them in her books and then they make them simplified as big wolves... really? wow i wrote alot. im done now

  9. OK, time to be a pain to all of you. I personally HATE Twilight. It destroys the meaning of Vampires, it's all lovey dovey, and i basically tells girls to let the man do every thing for them and not to help themselves! It's not well written at all, maybe for a young kid, but what young kid would want to read something like that! Several people agree with me on this. What Vampire Sparkles???? They are suppose to die in the sun not be walking disco balls! I bet if you put water on them they will sparkle rainbow colors! A big disappointment in my mind. And people are taking the vampire thing too far. Come to my blog to see what I mean. "real vampires" come on people, wake up! http://vampiresoverthetop.blogspot.com

  10. I used to like the Twilight saga. I honestly did, but I guess I'm the sort of person who likes the unpopular things in life. Mainly, when something I like becomes extremely famous, I try to avoid it. Except for Harry Potter, of course. Gotta love Harry Potter no matter HOW famous he is.

It is still sort of well written. V. A. Dudek had a point though. While some of the words were hard to get an exact meaning on, the book was clearly written for young teenagers. It made me feel bad, too, like I would never find that special someone who completed me. You'd feel the same way too, if you walked a couple moons in my moccasins (reference to Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech). I mean, picture these two people who liked each other since they saw each other - no conversation between each other, nothing. They get all romantic and lovey, and then eventually get married. What kind of story is that?! When you compare that to reality and how some of us never even FIND love, it's pretty depressing.

Bottom line: Twilight was a way of life for me. Emphasis on WAS. Now it's not. It's nothing like real life. It depresses people with the over-romantic plot line.

  12. I think I'll catch the movie on DVD, just to see what the buzz is about. Although, I said that about the harry Potter Stuff too and haven't gotten around to it though. Maybe when my daughters are a older, they will read this stuff and I'll read it for a common interest and some conversation. I'm already trying to understand my daughter's thoughts when they are teenagers and neither one is even in school yet. Ahhhhh!
